GO GREEK FOR BREAKFAST
GOOD MORNING GRANOLA
In one of my previous blog posts "Fighting Fat," I suggested that you need to be upping your protein intake if you want to succeed with fat loss. (Check out that blog post for the reasons!)
Breakfast is known to be a difficult time to get a high dose of protein. Most people tend to revert to high-carb/low-protein breakfasts such as toast or breakfast cereal. Here is a simple, quick and delicious breakfast idea that will give you a good whack of that precious protein.
15 grams of frozen blueberries.
45 grams of Granola (I've used Nature Valley, Oats and Red Berry Protein Granola).
150 grams of FAGE Total 0% Greek Yoghurt.
A dash of milk.
Mix it all up and leave it to stand for 5 minutes (that way the blueberries soften and the sweetness of the blueberries and the granola seeps into the yoghurt). Enjoy. It really is that simple.
Nutrition:
Here's the good stuff. This breakfast is approximately only 311 calories and provides you with 23 grams of Protein, 38 grams of Carbohydrates and only 7 grams of Fat. Because of it's high protein content it should keep you nicely full throughout the morning!
